Vanessa & Nathan :: caught!

And this week on the blog we have Vanessa & Nathan's wedding! We started our day at the Omni in Fort Worth, then moved on to Marty Leonard Chapel and The Modern Art Museum of Forth Worth. It's obvious that my blog divulges how much I love all of those locations and how often we have the opportunity to photograph them. I wanted to find a new location to photograph the dress so the image below shows me contemplating my decision while Vivian checks the lighting. We ultimately both agreed that this wasn't working for us....

Tuesdee & Kyle :: Caught!

Well, hello, Monday. Let's make you much, much more fun with some Caught images from Tuesdee & Kyle's wedding day! Hugo knows how Vivie likes the dress, I basically just supervise and offer my unsolicited opinions at this point. Quick pep talk with Kyle explaining how the first look is about to go down. I have no idea why we are so serious, but I'm all about the gesturing. I'm still gesturing. I swear he was incredibly excited and I'm not really about to smack him. Hugo standing in for Tuesdee for a light...

Kristen & Dale :: caught!

We had an extraordinary amount of fun at Kristen and Dale's wedding, which I think is pretty obvious in our caught images. Or, maybe we just had a little time on our hands. Either way, let's start with Vivie and Hugo ... I enjoy watching Vivian's expressions throughout the day. This is her listening face. That's me chatting it up with the videographer Dave from Soulbox while Vivian is busy working. He he he. More of Vivian in action with all of Kristen & Dale's beautiful paperie. I really am having a good...

Danielle & Tyler :: caught!

We had so many oodles of fun with Danielle and Tyler. Here's a few caught images to get you started. I call this one "setting up the 'around the door' meeting as bride patiently waits" Crouching tiger, not hidden photographer. The arrangement portion of the show. That's upside down, Vivie. Upside down. Gum. Alright, let's get down to business. Just walking through, don't mind...

Sarah & Michael :: caught!

It's time to share Sarah & Michael's lovely wedding on the blog. Looking back at the images makes me just laugh about all of the fun and craziness we had that day. But the Caught Pictures? Those just get me every time. It's a little known fact that Vivie is always in the corner of every getting ready picture. Sometimes I kick her and she gets out of the way, sometimes I just crop her out. This was right before I elbowed her. I'm so sweet, I know. Jazz hands to get the day started. Serious face. Vivie and Jessica...

Kellie & Jarrett :: caught!

Special shout out to Chandi Warner of Music Creek Photography for entertaining me and lending a helping hand at Kellie & Jarrett's wedding. She's a riot and a half. It was all about the creative lighting inside the Irving Bible Church. The room is small and fierce. With no additional lighting assistance, this is what my camera saw inside the room: There was no amount of on-camera flash that was going to help.  Bounce up into the black ceilings? Nope. Bounce left or right into the gray walls? Nope. Either option...

Angela & Robert :: caught!

We were moving full throttle at Angela & Robert's wedding so we have a handful of 'caught' gems to share; all of them at their beautiful reception at the Grand Hotel in McKinney In this first one, Vivian was busy photographing the paper products (invite, wedding program, RSVP cards) and I was busy getting in her way. Then we follow up that silliness with three images of us light testing in various parts of the room. All in a day's work,...

Samantha & Thomas :: Caught!

We enjoyed the most playful, fun day at Samantha & Thomas' wedding. Vivian went to high school with the groom and groomsmen so it really was like hanging out with friends that day at Ana Villa Chapel. Enjoy the outtakes and prepare for their lovely pink and gray wedding! Light check. Dress check. Location check. Space check. Cake check. Video check. Awesome day....

Perrin & Bill :: Caught!

Things that made Perrin & Bills wedding more fun: the bridesmaids.Perrin's mom. Did I mention the bridesmaids? this guy. Amy!!! Definitely, Amy! Sneaky cake cuttings. the...
