I didn’t tell Ana I had the flu the week before because I didn’t want to stress her out. When I arrived, I was trying to put on my bravest face but inside I was still tired and achy. Once I got moving, I left all of that behind – there were so many joyous tears and belly laughs that I totally forgot about the steroid shot in my bum the week before.
I wish there was a bigger word than ‘joyous’ to describe the day. The fact is, I have never seen so much happiness, delight, you name it – all rolled up into one wedding day. This was truly a wedding day I will forever remember – from the second I arrived to the second I left – it was filled to the brim with joy.
