I’m a proud Professional Wedding Guild (PWG) of Fort Worth member. In fact, I really, utterly, truly believe in joining professional organizations that further an industry and hold it’s members accountable for professionalism and customer service because our clients deserve that and so much more.

When PWG decided to create a charity community to benefit a local organization in the Fort Worth community, I as ecstatic about joining and giving back to the community. However, when I found out that that organization was the Lena Pope Home, it just made my heart sing. To bridge the confusion gap for some of you – The Marty Leonard Chapel is part of the Lena Pope organization and as the website says, it’s primary function is “to serve the youth and families of Lena Pope Home. A secondary function is to provide a setting for weddings, renewal of vows, church services and other life affirming events”. As many of you know, I spend a lot of time at the chapel photographing weddings and I definitely call the place my home away from home.

There was no money raised for the event, aside for some ‘just in case’ funds raised from  Clique Headshot Event, Everything else was completely and utterly donated by the most amazing companies in our industry and I wanted to take a moment to give them all a very special thank you for everything they did!

Our event sponsors, those who graciously donated items towards the event were as follows:

I wanted to thank all of them once more for all of their time and tender hearts for contributing to this cause!

And now for some fun pictures from the Flash-Pics.com Photo Lounge!!!! Katherine, wedding planner at the chapel, and her husband James!

Yes, we travel in groups – Michelle Peyrone (PWG treasurer), myself, and Stacey Pinkney (PWG president)

Here’s a chunk of the PWG volunteers who came out for the event. I couldn’t believe the turnout! I love you guys!!!!

And last, but not least, the Charity Committee – Lucia Bitnar of Foster Blue, my crazy self, and Tommy Evans of Speciality Sound & Flash-Pics. We had the most amazing time working together and I already miss the 5 million emails from them!!!
