Denise & John’s wedding reception was at the utterly unique and beautiful Plaza on the Hill at The Sheraton Arlington. The room transferred into a chic dance club before our eyes with Denise & John’s royal blue colors and silver accents. To say that the reception was a party of grand proportions would be an understatement. EVERYONE was dancing, smiling and having an amazing time.The evening begin with the band Banda Festival and continued on into the wee hours of the night with DJ LMent.
My gamer friends will get out of a kick out of this: if you have played Army of Two there is something called back to back mode where you can literally stand back to back with your team mate and shoot up a room. Well Viv and I successfully employed back to back mode at the reception. Since the guests were running underneath the Denise & John pyramid and running past us, it was the best way to capture the whole shabang and keep from getting pulled into the action!
The boys were a riot – calling out all the single ones among them that needed to catch the garter.
And as they prepared for the garter, John threw … water!
Drenched, but still excited, they carried on for the actual catch!
At midnight, I tapped Denise on the shoulder and said “Um, we still haven’t cut the cake!”
