Confession: I’ve never been to Las Vegas and I never really thought about attending the annual WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) convention there.
When I got the opportunity to attend through the lovely folks at Adorama, I was so excited that I jumped up and down and screamed for almost an hour. Ask my editors, they heard it all. Adorama plug: Adorama is SO much than a camera store not only do they sell photographic accessories, cameras and more but they have amazing people working there who really care about you. I mean it, Joel and the whole team were amazing to work with and I got to spend 3 glorious days with them in the Adorama Booth at the WPPI tradeshow.
Right – so there was this upcoming trip to Vegas and I barely had to ask and before I knew it Vivian, Stacey and Michelle were coming with me. Yes, that’s four women in one room. And imagine our UTTER delight when we found two showers in our Queen Bungalow Suite at the MGM Grand! TWO SHOWERS! TWO!!! We had hit the jackpot from the beginning!
So here’s what my first couple of days looked like in Vegas. I was in the Adorama booth from Monday through Wednesday. Michelle snapped some shots of me working.
It wasn’t all work and no play. I got to meet the FABULOUS Ilonka and we became quick friends, as you can see.
Here’s the four of us on Tuesday night. That was the night most of the album & printing companies held their big parties.
On Wednesday night, we went to Cirque du Soleil’s “O” at the Bellagio – but not before we devoured our weight in sushi at YellowTail. If you follow either myself or Vivian on facebook, you probably saw pictures of each delectable dish from that night- capped off with a picture of all of us and our rather hot waiter. We also watched the water show from the balcony of the restaurant.
You better believe that we spent several more hours photographing each other on the strip. Let’s start with Vivie because she’s so freaking adorable.
