Three months into 2012, and I’m still living a photographic life that is outside of my comfort zone. I’ve been making more mistakes and trying new things to remind myself of where my career began. It’s a reminder of the excitement and fear that started it all.
When I found out that Fer Juaristi was visiting Texas in January, I about knocked over a cat to sign up. Good thing, too, because his workshop sold out the first day. And no cat was harmed in the process, either.
Fer is everything I want to be in a photographer – humble, funny, and thoughtful. Not only thoughtful in his images but also in his approach with his clients and peers. He’s a hugable man, a creative, fun & hugable man.
