I met Perrin and her mother at a bustling coffee shop in Uptown. It was the first time I had met outside of a studio in years; but I had just moved back  from Chicago and everything was still in transition. I was nervous, dragging my suitcase of albums behind me. I was also wet, it decided to downpour that day. But Perrin was so excited that she couldn’t contain herself and before we were done, everyone at the table was beaming and eagerly chatting. She was definitely a ‘Lynn Michelle bride’ and when she let me know soon afterwards that I was the photographer for her wedding, I did a silly little dance in my office.

I met Bill a few months later when we scheduled engagement portraits at the Katy Trail Icehouse. Now, I have heard of the place, but I hadn’t had the opportunity to experience the sheer amount of people that frequent the location on any given Saturday. And the parking situation was a mess. Bill arrived all smiles, not even a tinge frazzled by the craziness and we set out along the Katy Trail so that I could get to know them. Perrin is instantly outgoing, but once Bill warms up he’s all sorts of awesomely funny. And it didn’t take him long.

You have couples that just fit so well together and Perrin & Bill were such a perfect example. Every pose just worked naturally with them and there were plenty of adorable cuddles.

Our next stop was Deep Ellum to “embrace the city”. Perrin and Bill had a Save the Date design picked out that required a left or right) justified image so I kept that in mind as we played in this lovely  beam of sunlight.

Not exactly sure what these mean, but we found them and I was amused by them. Perrin and Bill definitely played along.

Yeah, I think we made a sexy Save the Date right there.
