I don’t know if anyone truly knows my obsession with Creme de la Creme’s confections. It started simply enough – walking into a wedding reception in July of 2007 and smelling the heavenly goodness that permeated the room. You don’t normally smell cake when you walk into a reception room, and you normally don’t remember a crazy moment like that unless … well, unless you are nutty like me and it’s one of Jamie’s cakes. I had my first taste that day and I was utterly, undeniably hooked.

Of course, the ladies at the shop are well aware of who Michelle & I are and I’m positive that my facebook friends are probably sick of me posting snaps of cupcakes and pink cake boxes, but the problem is that with Creme de la Creme such a short distance from Michelle’s, it’s an easy drive-by-for-yumminess situation.

But did you know that Jamie & her crew have a monthly open house every first Saturday of the month (keep in touch on their facebook page here.)? Yeah, that’s a scheduled monthly Creme de la Creme sugar high  from 10am on 4pm in addition to whatever cake I can get throughout the wedding season. Heaven, heaven!

I was the proud to be a part of February’s open house where I only lightly sampled all of the sinful sugar around me. I’m still dutifully drawn to anything that has her blackberry or raspberry filling. It’s divine. I hope that I have your mouth watering, because cake pictures are following. And I totally ate one of their chocolate cupcake as I typed this. Guilty.

Tami Winn provided florals to really make the place extra beautiful!

I adored this yellow, white and gray table. YUM!

My table – yep the cards actually say “cupcake lover” and “proudly devouring Creme de la Creme yumminess since 2007. I’m serious about my cake.
