I’ve known Steve for a few years now. I overheard him tell his dad that we met in Probability & Statistics – even though I thought it was History this whole time. Either way, it was in college when we were grinding through our Computer Science degrees.
Emily came along a few years later. We met through Thomas, who, at that time, had recently introduced me to my husband. Emily knew Thomas through another friend that he had roomed with at the big(ger) UT in Austin. And then Emily & Steve met at a New Year’s party that we all attended. She has since fed me pez at many a party at Thomas’ house.
To put a wrench in the whole thing (are you confused yet?) I didn’t end up shooting Emily & her family today because I knew her and Steve from back in the day. Emily found me the old fashioned way, through a recommendation on a wedding message board and (o crap!) we actually knew each other.
