So I get this email from Mary: “We are looking for a photographer for our daughter’s unique wedding … in 2 1/2 weeks.” I didn’t have a lot of details at this point, but I knew I was available during the time period she had requested, even though I had another wedding the same day. I had never done more than one wedding in a day, but the time worked out and they were fairly close to one another, so I decided to find out more details. Both brides knew there was another wedding and that I had 0% concern that either would be affected. If anything, I would just be REALLY early to my next wedding.

And the details? An intimate wedding, just the important stuff, all at The Boardwalk at Granite Park in far north Plano at Edith’s French Bistro. I was very interested.

I arrived to tons of hugs. Mom (Mary) had been stalking me on facebook for years and was so happy to finally have me photograph something for her family. Bride (Amy) followed with hugs. Not a problem. I love hugs.

Everything was just as Amy & Lonnie had wanted : an intimate wedding, punctuated by a first time officiant who knew them so well — the ceremony was loaded with extraordinarily relevant humor, touching songs, and just so much love. Everyone in the room cried, including me. It was so amazing to see something so real and it filled my soul.
